ARKET presents Autumn Winter 2024 lookbook

For AW24, ARKET reflects on the everyday lives of women and men in the city, finding inspiration in the dynamism and amusement of metropolitan life against the monumental character of urban landscapes. Devised from a mindful palette of materials, like NATIVA™ regenerative wool, RWS certified wools and chrome-free tanned leather, the collection offers well-considered, multifaceted wardrobes for the autumn and winter seasons balancing heritage references with neat lines and modern ways of making.

Reevaluating silhouettes and material applications, the womenswear collection follows visions of gesture and movement, sculpting looks closer to the body yet layered and nuanced throughout. Tailored detailing nods at the structure of powerful dressing with none of the restrictions the reference might suggest. Instead, lapels, strong shoulder lines, pressed creases and slanted pockets mark an intention in the Tailored Wool Coat, the Suede Blazer and Fluid Trousers; they also sharpen Tailored Denim in a modern play of ideas. 

The fitted expression of silk, cotton and wool rib jerseys appears layered with crisp cotton poplin shirts, sharp glossy leather shoes and textured knitwear. The Long-Line Wool Cardigan, paired with the matching Triangle Scarf, serves as the utmost representation of warmth on the go, a notion that runs through the collection. Technical fabrics offset natural materials: the Paper Nylon Parka and the Bonded Cotton Trench Coat hint at the elements of the season; the Faux Fur Coat appears as a hero piece in the AW24 wardrobe. 

The ARKET menswear vocabulary rewrites a wardrobe of staples that infuse British heritage and utility references with a Nordic point of view searching for simplicity and quality. The novelty comes in the shape of the Leather Jacket, the Chunky Cable Knit, and the Reversible Canvas and Nylon Quilted Vest. The Heavy Melton Wool Car Coat, which remains a classic hero piece for the season, is drawn for AW24 in a loose and long statement silhouette.

Mid and top layers are complemented by far more discreet yet paramount essentials that have been given equal attention: from the Woven Cotton Boxers or the GSM program of cotton jersey T-shirts to the denim, envisioned in a loose shape and in three new indigo fades. The smooth leather of the classic Leather Loafers and the soft and supple Basket Weave of the Checkered Overshirt, a recent addition to the ARKET library of fabrics, as well as crisp poplin, neps yarns and bird’s eye knits, enrich the textures of the season.
